Wunderlich’s Syndrome in Covid-19 Patient Cover

Abstract

Up to this date, more than 180 million people worldwide have been affected with COVID-19 and more than 3.9 million people have died. The effect of COVID-19 on thrombosis is well known, and due to this, anticoagulant agents are prescribed. However, the use of anticoagulants is associated with the bleeding trend and occasionally major complications and death outcomes.

In this paper, we present the case of a COVID-19 patient treated with anticoagulant therapy who developed Wunderlich’s syndrome. Up to our knowledge, this is the first case of this syndrome in a patient with COVID-19.
