Abstract

From a promising idea and gadget, Artificial Intelligence (AI), is becoming a reliable tool in everyday business. Industries report a galloping adoption of AI across communications, optimization, planning, safety protocols, and monitoring. The construction industry, known for its slow adoption of new technologies, is sluggishly but surely reporting positive feedback and promising potential of the utilization of AI. This study has applied the most notable AI-driven chatbots, i.e., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and DeepSeek, to solve standard project planning tasks. The results revealed that chatbots are surprisingly skilled at solving problems, but only when used by an experienced, professional user. Furthermore, the results showed the differences among the chatbots in solving the same types and scales of problems. Also, all analyzed chatbots can export data into documents compatible with standard project planning tools.
