Fuzzy Control Concept of Unmanned Ground Vehicle Cover

Abstract

Unmanned systems are becoming increasingly important - both in civilian life and in the military field. The fundamental problem is their control - most often it is remote control using radio transmission of control commands. This type of control is problematic especially with land vehicles. What if the unmanned system has to operate at the limit of the transmitter’s range ? Or there are terrain obstacles between the vehicle and the transmitter that complicate radio transmission. In these situations, the vehicle needs to make “its own decisions”. In these cases, artificial intelligence methods can be useful. In our work, we try to propose a concept of ground vehicle autonomy based on fuzzy logic.
