Abstract
This paper presents an automated test rig for static gear mesh stiffness measurement, innovating a previous manual setup. Utilizing open-source hardware (Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Arduino) and Python software with a GUI, the system automates controlled torque application and angular displacement data acquisition. Pilot measurements validate its functionality, demonstrating improved efficiency, repeatability, and data consistency compared to manual methods. The cost-effective open-source approach offers a replicable solution for enhanced gear analysis.
