We regret that the following errors appeared in the published version. The corrected information is listed below. These corrections do not affect the overall scientific conclusions of the article.

1. Abstract — PFS

Location: Page 1, lines 13–14

Original:

“The patients in group A showed a longer PFS than group B (7.9 vs 3.3 months, P = 0.007).”

Corrected:

“The patients in group A showed a longer PFS than group B (9.8 vs 3.4 months, P = 0.0014).”

2. Abstract — OS

Location: Page 1, lines 14–15

Original:

“No significant differences were observed in median OS between the two groups (P = 0.928).”

Corrected:

“No significant differences were observed in median OS between the two groups (P = 0.78).”

3. Abstract — complications

Location: Page 2, line 1

Original:

“The incidence of complications was similar between the two groups, except that the incidence of abdominal pain was reduced in the group A (P = 0.007).”

Corrected:

“The incidence of complications was similar between the two groups, except that the incidence of abdominal pain was reduced in the group A (P < 0.001).”

4. Results — Baseline Characteristics

Location: Page 9, lines 2–4

Original:

“Before PSM, there were significant differences between the two groups in the BCLC stage, maximum tumor diameter, and high-risk location.”

Corrected:

“Before PSM, there were significant differences between the two groups in the BCLC stage, maximum tumor diameter, high-risk location, and Child-Pugh score.”

5. Results — PFS, unweighted cohort

Location: Page 10, lines 2–4

Original:

“In the unweighted cohort, the median PFS time was 7.9 months (95CI%: 10.9–18.5 months) for patients in the group A, and 3.7 months in the group B (95CI%: 7.1–11.4 months) (P = 0.021) (Fig 2a).”

Corrected:

“In the unweighted cohort, the median PFS time was 9.8 months (95% CI: 6.9–19.7 months) for patients in the group A, and 3.93 months in the group B (95% CI: 3.2–5.9 months) (P = 0.0068) (Fig 2a).”

6. Results — PFS, weighted cohort

Location: Page 10, lines 4–7

Original:

“At the time of censoring, median PFS was 3.3 months (95%CI: 6.1–10.5 months) for patients in the group B, and 7.9 months (95%CI: 10.9–18.5 months) in the group A with significant difference (P = 0.007) (Fig 2b).”

Corrected:

“At the time of censoring, median PFS was 3.4 months (95%CI: 3.1–6.1 months) for patients in the group B, and 9.8 months (95%CI: 6.9–19.7 months) in the group A with significant difference (P = 0.0014) (Fig 2b).”

7. Results — Complications

Location: Page 11, lines 17–20 and Page 12, line 1

Original:

“The most common complication after treatment was abdominal pain in both groups and it was more frequent in the group B (P = 0.007). A slightly higher puncture hemorrhage rate was found in the group B (8.2%), without a significant difference (P = 0.274). One patient developed liver abscess after MWA in the group B.”

Corrected:

“The most common complication after treatment was abdominal pain in both groups and it was more frequent in the group B (P < 0.001). A slightly higher puncture hemorrhage rate was found in the group B (13.3%), without a significant difference (P = 0.059). Two patients developed liver abscess after MWA in the group B.”

8. Discussion — safety

Location: Page 14, lines 12–13

Original:

“…the incidence of abdominal pain and Puncture hemorrhage was decreased during the follow-up period (P, < 0.01P = 0.274).”

Corrected:

“…the incidence of abdominal pain and Puncture hemorrhage was decreased during the follow-up period (P; < 0.001P = 0.059).”
