Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious and contagious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and it mainly affects the lungs. As Romania has consistently ranked first in the European Union (EU) in terms of the incidence and prevalence of TB in the past years, this paper aims to bring to the attention of physicians the new therapeutic regimens and ways to approach patients with multidrug resistant TB and extended resistance.
