Abstract

This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to explore the current state of knowledge regarding the role of emotional and artificial intelligence in optimizing team interactions. A dataset of 298 peer-reviewed items, extracted from the Scopus database in November 2025, was processed utilizing Biblioshiny 5.0 software. The methodology employs both performance analysis and science mapping to identify dominant research subjects, influential authors, and international predominant countries. The results reveal that the scientific production in this field is flourishing, with an annual growth rate exceeding 24%, driven primarily by research teams in China and the United States. The findings indicate that while artificial intelligence and emotion recognition are well-established as technical sub-fields, the actual intersection of these concepts in hybrid team settings remains a significant research gap. This paper contributes to the field by providing a comprehensive overview of the transition from viewing artificial intelligence as a simple tool to seeing it as a hybrid colleague. The implications suggest that organizational success will depend on harmonizing these two forms of intelligence to ensure that technological adoption does not erode the team cohesiveness necessary for innovation.
