Entrepreneurship is accepted by institutions, politicians and society as a process of development and overcoming barriers. The EU has recognised the importance of the creative and imaginative industries for the social and economic rise of regions in 2020. There is a direct correlation between culture, arts and economy at national level. We assume that there is a correlation in the growth of specific entrepreneurial indicators to macroeconomic indicators.
Studies on the topic of Relation of macro national indicators to the development of art-cultural entrepreneurship in science are scarce. Reports and analyses of the public sector, the US mainstream and European institutions predominate. The papers cited demonstrate a resonance to our research. Scholarly works on the topic for the Balkan Peninsula region are not available. We used Eurostat data for a period of 5 years. The object of our work is Bulgaria and Greece due to the proximity of national indicators. The study proved the thesis of dependence in both countries in terms of macro national indicators and art-cultural entrepreneurship. We also found a trend of relationship in case of negative indicator values.
The results of the study can be a starting point for a deeper analysis of the creative and creative industries, as well as creative entrepreneurship. On the other hand, the data obtained could be a starting point for the development of policies and mechanisms at national level.
