Post-mining reservoirs constitute the largest group of anthropogenic reservoirs. Due to the fact that their surface area is usually not very large, they cannot perform significant water supply functions. However, such reservoirs are a valuable element of the natural environment, they can be used for recreational or fishing purposes. The quality of water in such reservoirs is important due to the possible migration of pollutants to the soil and water environment. An example of such a reservoir is Morawa located in Katowice (southern Poland). Research conducted in 2024 included two measurement series (summer and winter) in the field of electrolytic conductivity, temperature, pH and chlorides. The research results indicate that the waters of this reservoir are characterized by increased conductivity reaching over 400 μS/cm and pH indicating a reaction from neutral to alkaline. There are significant relationships between the parameters in both measurement series, which may indicate the lack of incidental pollution in the analyzed period of time.
