The situation and sports opportunities of people with disabilities

As the definition of health, World Health Organization defines health as a state of physical, mental and social well-being, which is not limited to the absence of disease or infirmity. This paper presents the situation and sports opportunities of disabled people, with different disadvantages, often cumulatively. In this article, we want to make people aware of the fact that persons with disabilities represent 5% of population. Using the correct names for the different disabilities, contributing to changing the mentality to avoid exclusionary attitudes, positive discrimination and appreciation of the achievements of people with disabilities are challenges for the future.
