The Future of Judging: Algorithms in the Courtroom

Abstract

These keynote lecture notes explore the potential and limitations of using algorithms and machine learning tools in the courtroom. It identifies different areas in which algorithms would be suitable for legal decision-making and areas in which human judgments should be preserved.
