Zhodnocení pøíèin vzniku defektních kovových povlaků na polymerním systému ABS / The assessment of causes of formation of defective metallic coatings on the ABS polymer system
Abstract
The article briefs readers on the issues relating to galvanizing of ABS or ABS/PC polymer materials. Not only does it assess the technology of formation of different coatings, i.e. both autocatalyst and galvanic polymer casts but it also presents specifi c polymers suitable for coating. The other part of the article studies potential causes of formation of defective coatings on the ABS polymer provided by a commercial entity for assessment. The defects in metallic coatings and in the de- -metallised polymer cast were studied using the raster electron microscopy, involving the EDS analysis.
