Abstract

The article discusses major problems adversely affecting the quality of hot-dip zinc coatings. Namely, it refers to the defects on the sides of substrate material (damaged surface, inadequate composition of the material, draw material), insufficient pickling of material, composition of the melt (especially, the content of Al, Ni, Pb, Bi and Sn) and coating technologies (bath temperature, the content of flux, time of dip).
