Abstract
A simulator is one of the didactic means used in education, being a device designed to simulate aspects of the real world. Those simulators in which virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) or mixed reality (MR) technologies are integrated are an advanced means used in the training/learning process, being a real and promising way to improve the quality of education. “Mircea cel Bătrân” Naval Academy intends to acquire maritime virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) simulators as an extension of the existing simulation complex. The paper presents a concept study on these simulators to be used in the training of students and personnel in the Naval Forces.
