Abstract

Monitoring the contract with the National Health Fund (NFZ) in healthcare providers is a process of ongoing managerial control aimed at confirming whether the NFZ agreement is being implemented in accordance with its terms, and whether the provision of health services by the provider is financially and organizationally optimal. Revenue analysis from the NFZ in healthcare providers requires specialized IT tools that enable the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of financial and medical data, transforming them into concrete managerial information. Individualized analytical and reporting tools are primarily used for the ongoing monitoring of NFZ contract implementation, especially for revenue analysis by departments, service scopes, Diagnosis-Related Groups (DRGs), contracted products, as well as for determining the profitability of medical procedures or identifying services not settled or rejected from settlement by the NFZ. They allow for the early detection of irregularities and provide the opportunity for immediate implementation of appropriate managerial decisions to qualitatively regulate the situation.
