Abstract

In this study, relays are used to combine users grouped from two clusters of wireless sensor nodes. The relay is an amplifier and a forward node. The network consists of clusters of sensor nodes; the near and far cluster selects one of the users and pair them for signal transmission; and these nodes select a relay for transmission to sink. The sensors use non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) for multiuser uplink for the purpose of transmission and detection of signal. Outage probability and throughput of the sensor nodes for different combinations of power are compared over Rayleigh fading, and for the effectiveness of the work, Monte Carlo simulations are used. This study uses a hybrid approach that combines LoRa and NOMA nodes to achieve effective communication by utilizing both technologies.
