Fermat Encoding in S-Box for Secured Encryption Cover
Open Access
|Feb 2025

Abstract

Today, cybersecurity is the foremost concern for a communication network. In this article, an encryption structure is projected using the AES method to convert a symmetric key to an asymmetric key by encrypting an S-Box. To enhance the level of encryption, Fermat encoding is used. Thus, cryptographic security hinges on the robustness of these S-Boxes, which contribute to the strength of the encryption algorithms. The study systematically examines the characteristics, security attributes, and applications of S-Boxes, thereby providing insights into their roles and effectiveness in safeguarding sensitive information. Findings herein contribute to informed decision-making in selecting the appropriate type of S-Boxes based on specific security requirements, paving the way for enhanced cryptographic design and implementation.
