First record of the poinsettia thrips Echinothrips americanus Morgan (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) in Greece

Abstract

The presence of the poinsettia thrips, Echinothrips americanus Morgan (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), is reported for the first time in Greece. In spring 2023, specimens of E. americanus were collected from infested Rhoicissus rhombifolia plants in Attiki.
