Electrostatic Interaction in Stochastic Electrodynamics
Abstract
In this paper, the expression of the electrostatic interaction force between two charged particles is derived in the framework of Stochastic Electrodynamics. The fundamental assumption is that the electrically charged particle can be modeled as a two-dimensional oscillator that scatters the classical zero point field background radiation. The correct expression of the electrostatic force is obtained if the natural pulsation of the oscillator is equal to the Zitterbewegung angular velocity.
