Methodology for Creating a Software for Structuring the Reconstruction Technologies by Laser Welding of Metal Moulds

Abstract

Metal and plastic parts are made in moulds, in production processes such as plastic injection, metal alloy die casting and metal deformation. During operations, moulds are exposed to severe conditions: wear, impact, corrosion, thermal cycling and high mechanical stresses. Moulds reconstruction has advanced, precisely because to new technologies, such as laser welding. Laser technologies offers several benefits, including increase of work speeds, reduced thermally influenced zones and material losses and decreased additional working times for mechanical machining processes.
