This article explores the multidisciplinary nature of the exhibition space design process, in line with the conference theme “Convergence.” Through case studies, books, and academic articles, it identifies how socio-cultural factors, the psychological influence of design elements and principles, consideration of space flexibility, and a good theoretical understanding of exhibition methods shape the architectural object so that it integrates into the exhibition narrative become an active cognitive environment capable of generating meaning and influencing people’s perceptions and behavior. This paper also mentions some of the consequences of ignoring, not knowing, or not respecting these factors, highlighting the negative impact that such an attitude can have on both the analyzed process and the resulting architectural object.
