Abstract
The purpose of this study is to extract and evaluate the components affecting the level of physical activity of residents of five different neighbourhoods in Urmia city in Iran and compare the impact pattern of these components in these five neighbourhoods with each other. Through literature studies and field surveys, 18 indicators were identified as architectural (physical) factors affecting the number of days that neighbourhood residents engage in physical activity during a month in a case study. Then, a researcher-made questionnaire was prepared and the data were analyzed in SPSS 26 software by the Poisson regression method. The results showed that, in different parts of a city, different factors affect the physical activity of residents. This is a challenge that warns urban planners that the same approach cannot be used for different neighbourhoods.
