TMJ — the diagnostic dilemma

Abstract

The diagnosis of temporo-mandibular joint and muscle dysfunction problems is based on the patient’s symptoms, their history, the clinical and radiological examination and the clinicians experience. The accuracy of the diagnosis determined from this data is questionable and causes the diagnostic dilemma.
