La pax chilensis ante la crisis: entre lo cierto y lo falso
Abstract
La pandemia del COVID-19 que aterrizó en Chile poco después de las manifestaciones callejeras de octubre 2019, azotó el país ya endeble por la falta de viabilidad de su sistema de salud pública. Los remedios llegaron demasiado tarde. Las cifras oficiales han reflejado distorsiones impuestas por agendas políticas. Se muestra que toda imagen postal de Chile como nación de paz es netamente falsa.
The COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Chile on the heels of the street demonstrations of October 2019 and assaulted a country already weakened by the lack of viability of its national public health system. Control actions against the pandemic were undertaken too late. Official statistics have reflected distortions during to political agendas. The postcard image of Chile as a nation of peace is totally false.
