With great sadness we learned from Stephan Wieser that his father, Professor Heinz-Gregor Wieser passed away on February 20, 2018. Below we print the official announcement along with date and place of the memorial service. Professor Heinz-Gregor Wieser was born in Reddemitz (Radomice, now part of North-West Poland) and moved to Austria in 1945.
Professor Heinz-Gregor Wieser was internationally recognized as an outstanding physician and scientist, a specialist and an authority for presurgical evaluation of patients with refractory epilepsy. He contributed substantially to the optimization of diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Heinz-Gregor was a dear friend of mine during the last several decades. He was an excellent author and reviewer contributing to a high scientific standard of the Journal of Epileptology, serving for many years as a Member of the Editorial Board.
He will remain in our fond memories.
