Abstract

The Lutheran blood group system, comprised of 18 antigens with four pairs of alleles at closely linked loci, is complex. This article outlines current knowledge of the Lutheran system with special reference to recent serologic, Immunochemical, and clinical findings. Immunohematology 1992;8:1–8.
