Abstract
The editorial staff of Immunohematology was saddened to learn of the deaths of Fred H. Allen Jr, MD, and Lyndall Molthan, MD. Dr. Allen, who died on March 12, 1987, was Senior Investigator Emeritus of the Lindslèy E Kimball Research Institute of the New York Blood Center. Dr. Molthan, who died on May 22, 1987, was Medical Director of the Miller Memorial Blood Center, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Both were outstanding contributors to the field of blood banking for several decades. We wish to extend our sympathy to family, friends, and colleagues of both Dr. Allen and Dr. Molthan.
