Abstract

Undeniably, adhesives play crucial role in modern dentistry. In order to deliver high bonding quality, profound removal of decayed hard tissues is indispensable, along with a healthy tissue preservation. There is a great variety of tools and agents, dentists can use in practice. The most popular among them are certainly dental drill units. However, air abrasion, ultrasonic generators and lasers are also relevant. While selecting the right approach, both advantages and limitations of a particular technique must be considered.
