Abstract
In this contribution to the national and local drop out policies, a comparison is made between Danish, Dutch and American strategies. The preliminary conclusion might be that a stimulating and facilitating policy is more successful than a severe and rigid one, though every result deserves to be evaluated within the related three worlds of welfare capitalism of Denmark, the Netherlands and the United States.
