Gezondheidsinformatie op internet: struikelblok voor patiënt en professional?

Abstract

This article explores and highlights some relevant research issues with regard to online health information. The author explains the attractiveness of the internet in the search for health information; summarizes relevant empirical findings from scientific research on online health information; and provides examples of research on conversational practices in online communities. The author suggests that future scientific research should pay attention to the construction and legitimacy of different knowledge repertoires in online (health) communities.
