Interdisciplinair samenwerken in het onderwijs

Several disciplines form alliances in primary schools and secondary schools to guide pupils with complex and multifaceted learning and behavioural problems. The functioning of these alliances is discussed in this article. The author presents the results of a qualitative study into the organisation of the alliances at three schools. Based on literature study, interviews, observations and document analyses, the author describes how professionals try to agree during consultation and how they learn from each other. She concludes with recommendations for effective co-operation when pupils need care. These recommendations refer to a clear structure of the alliance, attention for informal processes and professionals who account for their actions by expressing their knowing-in-practice. In basis- en voortgezet onderwijs werken verschillende disciplines samen in de zorg aan leerlingen met complexe gedragsproblemen. In dit artikel wordt verslag gedaan van een kwalitatief onderzoek naar deze samenwerkingsverbanden. In het onderzoek, dat plaatsvond op drie scholen, is gebruik gemaakt van literatuurstudie, interviews, observaties en documentanalyse. De resultaten worden in dit artikel besproken en hebben betrekking op de organisatie van het samenwerkingsverband, op de inhoudelijke afstemming tussen professionals tijdens overlegsituaties en op het leren van elkaar. De auteur sluit af met een aantal aanbevelingen voor effectieve samenwerking rondom zorgleerlingen. Deze aanbevelingen gaan over een heldere structuur van het samenwerkingsverband, aandacht voor informele processen en professionals die hun handelen verantwoorden door hun ervaringskennis expliciet te maken.
