Abstract
There are no easy answers for the community of Jardhargaon, India. Ancient practices of subsistence farming and seed saving are barely vialble as young people trade vilage life for adventure in the cities. Simultaneiously, market penetration into this once-isolated village is not improving the quality of life for its residents.
