Maar de euforie maakt ook dat overheden, subsidiegevers, media- en archiefmanagers zich dikwijls blindstaren op een onbestemd toekomstbeeld en de belangen van het erfgoed op de lange termijn uit het oog verliezen. Onvoorwaardelijke liefde voor digitaal maakt blind. Dat geldt vooral als het de toekomst van filmarchieven en filmrestauratie betreft.
