Corrections
The article ‘Assimilation of SEVIRI Water Vapour Radiances in HARMONIE-AROME at Large Satellite Zenith Angles’ (Schönach, et al, 2025) was published with an error in Section 2.2 second paragraph (page 121 of the issue) in the sentence “The ground resolution of SEVIRI is a function of the satellite zenith angle and varies from 4.6–8.2 km inside the MetCoOp domain.” The sentence should be changed to read “The ground resolution of SEVIRI is a function of the satellite zenith angle, with the pixel area expanding by a factor of approximately 2.6 to 13.8 compared to the nadir resolution inside the MetCoOp domain.”
There was also an error in Figure 1 and its caption on page 121.
The colour bar in Figure 1 has been removed:
The caption of Figure 1 which was “Zenith angles of MSG-4 satellite as viewed from the ground at the time of the study period. The red line shows the MetCoOp operational model domain in March 2024.” has been replaced with “MSG-4 satellite zenith angles. The background shading and black contour lines indicate the viewing angle from the surface. The red boundary outlines the MetCoOp operational model domain as of March 2024.”
