Diagnostic Utility of CT Scan for Acute Headache
Abstract
ED records for 364 children 2 to 5 years of age who presented to the Children’s National Medical Center ED, Washington, DC, between July 1, 2003, and June 30, 2006, with headache as their chief complaint, were examined to determine whether CT scans led to better acute management, justifying the risk of radiation.
