The Battle Belongs to the Lord: Healthcare Amidst Conflict in Kashmir
Abstract
Despite years of surrounding civil unrest and militant opposition, a maternity hospital in Anantnag, Kashmir, India has persevered in both faithful service and in living faith amid cultural, religious, and civil conflict. The author recalls her own spiritual journey and calling, as well as a series of dramatic conflicts which challenged and emboldened the staff to remain faithful to the call to service and bold in the face of opposition.
