Near the first tree of life,
The sly and cunning serpent,
Weaving deceit to blind human eyes,
Enticing with sweet and fragrant fruit,
Yet a destroyer of life.
Human kind falls into sin,
Swallowing the bitterness of life,
Enduring the sourness of alienation,
Living without direction, toward the fields of death,
Until his blood was swallowed by the earth,
Crying out for forgiveness.
But from the ashes of death on Calvary,
A new tree arises, offering eternal life,
Breaking the serpent’s chains,
Opening the eyes of man, granting a new life,
Brightening the heart, revealing new opportunities,
To bear new fruit, from the tree of life.
Healing comes from the tree of life,
That sets the nations free from sin,
Living in forgiveness,
Living in the shade of its truth,
In spirit and in calling
Competing Interests
