Abstract

This poem explores the profound vocational identity of a nurse through a reflective, first-person narrative that emphasizes service, compassion, and resilience. Framed as a spiritual and emotional journey, the piece articulates the nurse’s commitment to healing, the moral weight of caregiving, and the quiet strength required to endure the physical and emotional burdens of the profession. Through imagery of steadfast presence, divine guidance, and human connection, the poem illustrates how caregiving becomes both a calling and a lived purpose. Ultimately, it celebrates the nurse as a figure of perseverance, empathy, and unwavering dedication in moments of suffering and hope.
