New species in the Hungarian avifauna in 2015

Abstract

This paper is a report on the appearance of the Naumann’s Thrush (Turdus naumanni) in 2015 which can be considered as a new species of the Hungarian avifauna.

The bird was seen and photographed in Népliget, Budapest on the 31st of December. With this observation, the number of bird species detected in Hungary has risen to 412.
