Abstract
Data from visual observations at middle latitudes give information on the southern boundary of aurora appearance in zenith. Comparison of the aurora zone location with the linear current in the ionosphere and with the magnetic disturbance is made. Current orientation in the ionosphere and the aurora arc direction are considered.
