New forum opens
Tellus now opens a new forum, Letter to the editor. We welcome contributions reporting on high quality contributions aimed to evaluate, promote or discuss different research areas within the scope of Tellus. Letters to the Editor will be reviewed by the Tellus editors, editors in chief and subject editors, for its information value for the scientific community.
We thus welcome the report on the workshop on Extreme Weather Events in a Warming World organized by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The Letter reports on a set of scientific presentation and group discussions giving an insight on the status of science in the specific areas and its urgent scientific questions. All to inspire to intensified research efforts on extreme weather and its dependence on climate change.
We are grateful to the workshop organizers for this initiative and hope others will follow.
