Abstract

It is well documented that sleep quality is a major influence on our memory performance in our day-to-day life. Likewise, it is documented that distractions impact our memory performance as well. The influence of memory allows us to remember details that are essential to problem solving. When it comes to muscle memory, problem solving, and even decision making. The brain helps develop those ideas. For the brain helps develop those ideas. For the brain to get the required power to think, you need sleep. Sleep deprivation takes away our cognitive functions and the ability to make decisions that could potentially have a negative impact on our daily life. The importance of sleep allows the brain to think and recharge for upcoming events. Without the necessary rest, it disrupts the brains patterns to function correctly. It is important that people get a good amount of sleep, but if the individual is interrupted how would their cognitive functions react and how would this input their decision making? Past research has shown the positive and the negative impacts on short and long-term sleep disruptions, the focus for this goal is to see how the impact on each time stamp of sleep can impact overall. Arranging from 5, 8 and 12 hours of sleep. One individual's brain capacity withholds information from a day prior for each of the time spent sleeping. If the individual is disrupted of the needed goal of sleep at the 5 hour mark will they be able to make good decision making or struggle to fixate on their own solutions.
