Extended Dynamical Causal Modelling for Phase Coupling (eDCM PC)

Abstract

We present a software tool: extended Dynamic Causal Modelling for Phase Coupling (eDCM PC). This framework is implemented in MATLAB as an extension of the Dynamic Causal Models for phase coupling method. eDCM PC is able to estimate effective connectivity between oscillating systems using the phase information obtained from experimental signals, such as oscillatory activities of neuronal populations in distant brain regions. With the help of a transformation function, eDCM PC can measure observable independent coupling functions within and between different frequency bands. This software is available on GitLab under the GNU General Public License (version 3 or later).
