Vision of Mountain Warfare Development in the Slovenian Armed Forces

In the article, we will first introduce mountain warfare and explain the individual concepts related to mountain warfare. Further on, we will focus on contemporary warfare, including mountain warfare, and the importance of mountain warfare in the future. We will conclude the first part of the article by presenting the current situation regarding mountain units in the Slovenian Armed Forces.

In the second part, we will present the challenges faced by the Slovenian Armed Forces in the field of mountain warfare, and, finally, present our vision for the development of the Slovenian Armed Forces and mountain warfare, including some solutions in response to the challenges presented in the article.
